forever 21 haul

today i set out in search of some new summer dresses and i have to say the trip was very successful!  i got 3 new dresses from forever 21 that i can't wait to wear!!

 this is the striped maxi dress that i got in white and tan. i have been searching for a maxi dress since the beginning of last summer and i NEVER found one. i'm 5'10" so it's hard to find one long enough :( but i finally have and it's super cute so i'm happy! i think it looks really put together accessorized with golds and leathers.

  

 this is the second dress i got, it has chevron stripes in aquas, purples, and fuschias. what i really like about this dress is that i can throw a sweater and belt over it and wear it to work or i can pair it with fun jewelry and heels for a night out. very functional!

 and here's the third and final purchase of the day. i bought it in a chartreuse color rather than the purple shown in the picture above.  lime green has always been one of my favorite colors and i love it paired with navy! this dress will be perfect for my upcoming vacation :)

all laquered up

summer is one of my favorite times to experiment with different nail polish colors, but i always have the HARDEST time choosing what color to paint my nails (and i'm indecisive to begin with, which doesn't help!!). but, here's the colors i'm loving the most for this sweltering season:

 all shades of aqua

cheetah print

melon, coral, tangerine, etc.

alternative french manicures

ladylike lilac

fun metallics

nudes and neutrals

and last, but not least, OMBRE!

spice things up, try something new :)

time for a change...

as i've said before, i've had my hair the same color for about 5 years now and i'm ready for a change! the summer has just started so there's no better time to add some highlights!! after searching through lots of pictures i've decided to draw inspiration from the gorgeous ashley greene. my hair is naturally a medium brown and i could go the subtle route with something like this:

 or i could be more brave and get something a little blonder:

i'm baaaack!!

so i haven't had a new post since march. MARCH! that's awful guys, so i apologize and i hope you're ready for lots of new stuff! i'm changing some things and you all will hear all about it... 

1. i'm going to start blogging much more frequently :)

2. i'm going to start reading again! in fact, i'm headed out in search of the perfect summer book tomorrow so i'll let you know what i find

3. i'm dying my hair again for the first time in...5 years? it's been a long time so i'm nervous/excited/ready for a change haha

4. i'm MOVING!! i'm going from an apartment to a house with two of my friends and i can't wait to have a new space to decorate!
